It’s nearly Easter craft time for the kids. I will be making Easter egg trees again with my classes, plus this year I’ll be printing out and colouring in this great Easter Egg basket, courtesy of Activity Village. Click here to download the template in black and white.

Can Questions
0A worksheet with 30 ‘Can …’ questions for young learners, requiring I/he/she/they can or can’t answers.
Can be printed and given to class or read aloud for students to answer.
Present Tense Questions Worksheet
0Here is a printable worksheet of 30 questions in the present tense. Answers are required in the first and third person, as follows:
Yes, I do / No, I don’t
Yes, s/he does / No, s/he doesn’t
Yes, they do / No, they don’t.
You can photocopy and hand the worksheet out to the kids, or read the questions aloud, and have them write down their answers.
Easter Egg Tree
0Here is a link to a great Easter activity for kids that doesn’t take much in the way of materials or preparation. All you have to do is print a page of Easter eggs, and the kids colour them and stick them onto a tree (made by tracing around their arm and hand). Easy and fun.
I’m a little teapot
0I take my ipod to class with the ‘I’m a little teapot’ song on it and get the kids to follow me with the actions. I also have them colour a worksheet, and draw their own teapot and teacups underneath. Attached are a couple of worksheets I have made to go along with this song, one of them in Italian-English, but you could change the vocabulary into the language you teach.
Clothing Worksheets
0Attached is a worksheet I found on ESLKidsworld for clothing using ‘There is’ or ‘There are’, with five questions to be completed.
Also attached is a file of black and white clothing pictures, formatted to size 9 x 9 cm or smaller. These can be printed and glued to pieces of card to use as flash cards or a memory game, with the words below on another set of cards. There are 15 cards in total.
Clothing Vocabulary:
DRESS
SKIRT
SOCKS
TROUSERS
SHOES
GLOVES
HAT
COAT
T-SHIRT
SHIRT
BOOTS
SHORTS
SCARF
PULLOVER
JACKET
Action Verbs Matching Printable
0Attached is a document with 20 pictures in black & white clipart, downloaded free from the internet. What I suggest you do is print them out and stick them to 20 pieces of card sized 11×11 cm square. On another 20 smaller cards write the following list of words (at the bottom of the post). I got all this to fit onto one piece of A3 card, which cost 70 cents from the stationary shop.
You can use these cards and words in a number of ways. Firstly, by getting the kids to match the picture with the right verb. Secondly, my classes are all crazy about memory games, so you can turn the cards all face down on the table, and get them to play memory by matching the correct picture with the verb.
Here are the verbs:
SLEEPING
EATING
READING
WRITING
WATCHING T.V
RIDING A BIKE
RUNNING
DANCING
PLAYING GUITAR
SKIING
DRIVING A CAR
SHOPPING
BRUSHING TEETH
WASHING THE DISHES
TAKING A SHOWER
HAVING A BATH
WALKING THE DOG
SWIMMING
COOKING
CAMPING

Prepositions, Action Verbs & Home Vocabulary
0This is a good worksheet for 7 years plus. It covers prepositions (in, on), action verbs (eating, sleeping, brushing teeth) and home vocabulary (kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom). It’s a challenge for both understanding and writing the answers.

Prepositions Printable
0The first worksheet is very simple (in, on, under, next to, in front of, behind) and good for young learners.
The second is a crossword that adds a few more options to these first.
These two worksheets combined with some activity (on the table, under the table, behind me etc) took about an hour for my class today.
Where is the dog? Prepositions

Adverbs Printable – Growing a flower sequence
0This is a short exercise putting simple adverbs (first, then, finally) in order followed by a drawing of each sentence. It took up nearly 40 mins of lesson with higher level students, but that also included a lot of discussion on the characters in Harry Potter.
